Performance Music education plays a vital role in fostering creativity, inclusion and cultural enrichment. At LOETB, we are committed to providing high-quality, inclusive, and accessible music programmes that support learners at every stage of their musical development.
Our music provision is structured across distinct yet complementary programmes, each designed to meet the diverse needs and aspirations of our learners:
Music Generation – Programmes are delivered across Laois and Offaly focused on providing children and young people with access to performance-based music education in their local communities.
School of Music – A Laois based comprehensive programme offering high quality music tuition for children, young people and adults including Kindermusic, Pre-instrumental Music, Youth Orchestra as well as Leaving Cert and Post Leaving Cert music courses.
Academy of Music – An Offaly based comprehensive programme offering high quality music tuition to students of all ages and levels, from children to adults, beginners to professionals.

Music
Our FET Service strives continually to both develop and provide a wide range of quality learning opportunities for adults throughout Laois and Offaly.
The aim of the service is to encourage, enable and support adults who wish to return to education to avail of the educational opportunities that best suit their needs. We work continuously to modify and up-date our programmes, our services and our approach, to ensure that the learning opportunities we offer are of a high-quality, are easily accessible and are relevant to the ever-changing personal, social and employment needs of adult learners in Laois and Offaly. Programmes are provided at centres throughout the two counties and have been developed in co-operation with a wide range of partners.
SOLAS is the Further Education and Training Authority in Ireland. It is responsible for funding, planning and co-ordinating training and further education programmes.
