Course Aim:

The module is designed to enable learners to learn and apply the principles and practices of marketing. Learners will acquire the knowledge, skills and competence to work independently and under supervision in an administrative role in a range of business contexts and/or to progress to further and higher education and training.  The successful completion of the QQI Level 5 Major Award in Business Administration will enable applicants to work under supervision in an administrative role in a range of business contexts.

Course overview:

Learners will:

• Be familiar with the principles and practices of marketing,
• Be able to work effectively as a marketing assistant,
• Understand the functions of a marketing department,
• Understand the role of marketing in everyday life.

Assessments:

• Assignment 60%
• Exam 40%

This module can be used as part of the major award in Business Administration (5M2468)

* All level 5 programme applicants must hold a level 4 major award or equivalent and have access to a laptop/pc with good broadband.

Duration: 

Commencing February 2021 for 14 weeks blended learning, evening and some Saturdays.

Certification:

QQI Level 5 certificate.

Cost:  

€25.00 (certification).
