Community Education Service
Community Education is about creating opportunities for people to identify their learning needs and learn in their own community. A Community Education programme aims to:
- Build community participation
- Address social isolation
- Engage vulnerable adults
- Develop active citizenship
- Address educational needs
Classes generally run for 6 – 10 weeks and are organised at times and locations that suit the participants. The Community Education Service funds groups through tuition hours or grants.
